He or she was between one and two inches long and still translucent. Full sized he or she will be near two feet long and not translucent.

I hope it escaped before the dog had its next meal Brian?

I'd be tempted, if mine, to try a square crop - as I feel the dark right hand side isn't really contributing in anyway.

Also; perhaps a vignette to reduce the brightness of torch light extending into the two left corners?

    Good focus on the eyes.

I guess your torch (sorry, flashlight), is one of those with 7 LEDs (judging by the pools of light).

I would agree with a crop. Probably a little from the top as well as right side. Either square or 5 x 4 ratio would probably work OK.

One of these nights I will put up a sign over my computer reminding me not to post to CiC late at night when my mind and skills are half (if not more) asleep.

She did indeed escape. It was also late at night when I took the shot and the torch was the closest to hand. I was afraid she would wander off if I took the time to get a better light.

I actually did use a vignette but not enough of one.

I have to agree the best part of this shot is the focus on the eyes.

Still and all she is a cutey!

Here is a different shot that if I was going to start again just might be the one I used.
