EXIF not found, Ziggy...What sort of macro did you use here? Just curious...I have a macro lens but it doesn't seem close enough. I think I may have to use a macro filter with it...
Pretty cool shot Jim, not a fan of the flies though.
Nice capture.
Well done Jim, them bugs get everywhere
Very nice Jim, well captured bud!
Thanks all for the comments.
Izzie,
Just used the Panasonic FZ35 on this one.

Gorgeous use of light -- soft shadows that bring out the details though without ruining the softness of the flower.
I suppose the decision is whether the bugs enhance or detract from the subject. For me, they detract.
A very nice image. Great use of lighting.
My vote is with the no-bugs group. A rocket blower would have taken care of them.
If you want to delve into this stuff more, this shot would be a great candidate for focus stacking. It's hard to see at this size, but it looks to me as though the anthers are spot on but the stamens are slightly soft. If so, stacking would handle this well.
Are they some form of Pollen Beetle? We get those all over flowers sometimes in the UK.
Thanks all for comments and the feedback and have no idea what kind of bug it is.
Question for the no-bugs group. Do you think the fallen pollen should be cleaned before shooting?
Jim
I often leave the pollen, but it's just a matter of taste.
Absolute beautiful image, I like it very much.......
Griddi......
Thanks Dan and Griddi.
Nice image. I'm also in the camp of cloning out the bugs.
