LCE is a brilliant tool/technique. It's the thing that can make pictures really 'pop'.

Thanks for the advice re local contrast enhancement. I'm still experimenting with it but it certainly does give the image some 'pop' as you say.

Thanks Peter. I particularly liked #6, the b&w conversion.

    Nicely exposed, focused and composed.
There is a well known landscape photographer called Joe Cornish who takes photos of Roseberry Topping a lot as he lives near by, check his work out for some different compositions of Roseberry topping.

Thanks Mike. I'm familiar with Joe Cornish, he has a gallery not far from where I live but I've never made it there yet. I must make an effort to get there.

I think vertical format suits the scene very well. Nice shot

Although the clouds are, in fact, interesting, I would crop a major portion of the sky; leaving just a small portion over the top of the hill.

I suspect that what leaves me flat in this image is that my eye is carried along the trail then up the hill and then into a large expanse of sky.

Richard, Thanks for your comments. I may try cropping the image as you suggest.

I agree with Richard. I would probably crop the sky down just to below the light patch in the centre of the sky, leaving a dark line of cloud at the top with a light line underneath, forcing the viewers eye back down onto Roseberry Topping.
