This is the best I can do for removing post. I have no idea how to clone out the last little bit.

Steve, I'm a relative beginner. Your capture is very beautiful but might be even more stunning if you cropped out the piece of wood along the right side? Great photo! Stu

I like the PP you have done in this one Steve...somehow I have been gearing towards warmer colours and this one has got it made...even if the eyes looks a bit confuse here...I mean the stag's not your shot...

That's a beautiful animal in beautiful light. But, yes, definitely get rid of the post by cropping, cloning or any combination thereof.

Lovely light and nicely handled techs. I've never seen one of these guys. The antlers look like a mix of moose and caribou.

    Great shot!

Why is it 90% of all deer, whether it be a stag or doe that are photographed always look like they have only three legs? They do tend to stand whereby one of the back legs is hidden.

They've never been taught how to pose properly!

Do you know I have never noticed this before and have looked at all my deer photos and unless they are walking all bar a couple have got 3 legs showing. I think I am going to become paranoid about getting 4 legged standing deer. I do have some with only two legs even weirder.

Steve, while I still haven't mastered my photo post processing software, hopefully this is ok. Stu

Beautiful image! The light is especially lovely. It looks to me like you did a fine job of cloning out the piece of wood on the side.

I think you have accomplished crisp focus and shallow DOF perfectly for this shot, and agree with all the praise about light and warmth.
