Cold Snap
One of the very few shots I got the one and only time I got the nerve up to take the camera outside last weekend.
Part of the trouble with shooting in extreme cold is that I get brain freeze. If you see any way that this image could be improved (different processing, crop, etc.), please let me know.

Re: Cold Snap
Janis - the first thing that strikes me about the image is that there is too much sky that is not contributing anything to the image. Try cropping off about half of it. I'd also trim back some of the foreground, to bring the trees into a bit more prominence.
This is what I have in mind:

Re: Cold Snap
I like Manfred's suggestion but I also like the original with no particular preference for either one. Very nice!

Re: Cold Snap
My first thoughts were for a crop, and I see Manfred has already posted something similar.
If however, you wanted to keep the original image size ratio I think you could also try cropping just the sky and right side.
