Storm
One from yesterday. This was the leading edge of a storm that raced in very quickly; within a couple of minutes there was no view at all.
Any advice on how I could have improved the exposure will be appreciated. I know I should have been in a different, more interesting, location.

Re: Storm
Ominousness (word?) well caught. Looks handsome in the lightbox, Dave.

I am sure others more capable that myself will be along to offer solid advice.

Re: Storm
Looking good. Can you get away with just a fraction more highlight brightness?
I wonder about showing a tiny bit more of the sky; but it could easily become 'top heavy' then.

Re: Storm
Thanks for the comments, all. I thought I was at the limit of tweaking the whites, Geoff, but perhaps it could be pushed a bit more. This is the original, uncropped, shot. I thought the dark sky at the top was too much, but again perhaps a little more should have been included.

Re: Storm
Hi Dave,
Great shot, for me I would leave more of that sky in and a little less of the dark land at the bottom.

Re: Storm
If the foreground was pale, then I think that dark sky would have been a little too 'top heavy'. But with the dark foreground everything looks good to me. And there is sufficient difference between the dark sky and foreground to avoid that 'Sandwich' appearance which can sometimes occur.
