Or should I say a very tight budget. I was playing around with my relatively-new-to-me old Micro Nikkor 55 and a Kenko 2x extender + a Nikon PK-13 tube. With all that mounted I think I was shooting at 165mm. The distance to subject was @8" or so which was nice since before the PK-13 and Kenko it was more like 1/2" distance which wasn't working out too well.
All told I've got about $75 total invested, if I include the cost of the lens (it was a gift). I'm a happy camper as this will make macro a lot of fun now that I'm not 'in their face' with the lens any more.
This is what I got after a quick setup on the tripod just to see what it would do.
No fancy PP, just resizing.
Any comments are more than welcome, it is an amateur's attempt with very little $$ involved.
