There is a fish processing plant that at the end of the day throws all the guts and uneatable parts out to the pelicans that wait around the dock. I happened upon a very gluttonous pelican that could not swallow all it had gotten so a few "friends" swept in to help!

Banner the other birds got some of it but for the most part it got to eat it all. It took a long time and lots of swimming around.

Very nice set; are pelicans friendly with the other bird(what is that other bird, tern? albatross? )?

Good reportage as usual...you are getting good at this with this series too. If I am to choose just one, I'd vote for the last one for getting that shot with the gull's wing on the top of the pelican's bill. Dan (NorthernFocus) in Alaska is a good reportage photographer too with excellent pictures to depict each story just like this ones you have here but on a different sort because his is more on the animal side...Excellent shots all of them. Love shots that tells its own stories even in one shot deals or a series of them. Make's life more interesting...
