    Scotlands hidden gems (small series)

I visited Scotland just at the end of last autumn to spend time with some of my wife's family. I thought this would be a good way to play with my new D7100. I only had a 35mm prime with me so I had to stitch a lot of the shots together. Feel free to criticise on anything. Is there anything you think I can inprove on?

Nice series, in the second image I'm a stickler for tops of trees, but this is a pleasing shot nonetheless. Nice lines on the first and third image.

For me, the second and third photos are far superior to the first. The third one is really special for me. Well done!

Agree with Mike on this one, love the 3rd image. Lovely diagonal and vertical lines

#2 and #3 for me, also. Gorgeous colours and detail. #2 is my favourite for the curving road lined by the trees.

All good. #1 is possibly a bit on the sombre side but I would guess that is real life colour and brightness. Overall, a good composition though.

Would it take a little bit of brightness increase, but selectively applied to exclude the sky? And possibly a fraction of a crop from the bottom and right side to slightly reduce the size of that field. But I do mean just a fraction.

Don't know how I missed this thread until now. When I saw the title, I thought, 'How did they get a picture of me?'

I do like the compositions in the 2nd and 3rd in the series.

I did take courage to open the thread. What a relief to find landscapes.

Nice series. Like here it looks like fall colors are on the ground cover there. People who haven't seen can't imagine how pretty it is. And quite difficult to do justice with photos.

    Excellent series. Nicely done.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I will re-work the first shot to see what I can come up with.

    Thanks again.

    Chris.
