I like it but... and its a tiny but as im nit picking here, I would have liked to have seen the rotary blades blurred out. A slightly slower shutter speed would have done the trick for me but other wise a nice capture.
Nicely positioned within the scene.
Dean, I agree with Chris that a blurred rotor disk would have been pretty cool. I've seen LifeStar (our MedEvac bird in CT) land in some very tight places but your cemetery wins the prize for most unusual. I think it's a great shot, you should contact them and offer the pic, pilots love to see themselves flying
The morbid side of me asks if this was a pickup or delivery?
Something wrong with the messaging here...
That was exactly my first thoughts, Manfred!
A nicely balanced composition.
Many thanks for the comments
For Chris and Jack: The blurred rotor blades would have been better, but ...
This was a "pick up," man injured in accident. The landing pad is near a hospital, maybe 200 feet away; the old cemetery was the most "logical" place for the pad.
Tony,
More like being taken to a Level 1 Trauma Center--not to the final resting place. I do not believe any of the monuments in the cemetery are plumb.
Thanks to all for the comments.
