She remids me of a hedgehog who has befriended our family ... every night it comes across the neighbours property - crosses the road - walks across our garden - and then eats the cat's biscuits & has a drink before disappearing "back home". If we haven't put any food out then it just waits around the area until we do. The cat isn't too worried - eating that kind of food is well beneath it's dignity!
Thanks Kit and Antonio… hey, Antonio, it’s ok for the chickens to go to the shops but I just can’t trust Oliver:

PS very nice blue fish
Is this only on week ends ? Does he comes home in the early morning ? A shame indeed for such a nice cat.
Send him to Alcoholics Antonyms to see if he gets better.

This time I post not one, but various pets in the streets of India. :)
So many great shots since I last looked. harried chickens, blue Fish, alcoholic cats, streets of India. All great shots. I love your sense of humour with animals Timo, hope to see more. The cat is just too funny, I don't know how he kept sleeping while you got that shot, unless...... he really was drunk.
Streets of India is such a great moody documentary. I love shots like this because I don't travel, so never get to see these things.

Antonio, your photo has a timeless look. Beautiful!

After seeing Angelos in his pjs, I wanted to get a snapshot of my mare, Jade, in her diva style fly mask. (Don’t worry, she can see through it!) This was taken this afternoon.

Wendy, this sign is in the window at the barn where Jade lives:)

:) I must say Jade looks like quite a flirt. I have never seen one of those masks, looks like a good idea, and she does not seem to mind it. Nice shot! Keep them coming.
Looks like you have some sun there today. Warning, I think the rain we are having today is coming your way. Hope you make it through the long weekend before it gets there.
I like your sign. Boxer brought her babies out today. She has 2 of them. Size between her and them is about the same as the sqirrels in your sign. What fun watching them chase each other around the trees, and tumbling around on the grass. I have to go out but I'd rather stay and watch them. : ( Not a good day today for pictures, but I'll try to get some before they get too big.

I hesitated a bit before posting this photo for "Pets Portraits".
But after all I have considered that cows are a kind of pets in India. :)
I shot against the light deliberating considering that it would return a nice effect as it did after some work on CS and LR
Thank you Myra for commenting :)
Can we consider this camel as a pet ? :)
If you consider it is not a pet I will erase the photo, OK ? :)
I consider any animal not destined for someone's plate a pet:) From the looks of that camel's finery, he or she must be someone's special creature.
Interesting contraption through the nose for steering/leading. Must be similar to the rings put through bulls' noses.
Myra
Good definition Myra, thanks.
We didn't specify whether they had to be members pets, members friends pets or complete strangers* pets, so anything goes**
* by which I mean; the owner is not known personally to the photographer
** Anything that is regularly cared for by humans, but not for the food chain.
It allows us to put camels, sacred cows and 'adopted' wildlife in the thread.
My thanks to everyone for some great, and humourous, photos - keep them coming,
Well good to see that religious views of some (my) country are respected by the people/on the forum. Although I don't go worshiping cows, as one might think an Indian would do, but yea someone (Foreigner) laughing at the beliefs MIGHT make me feel bad. Double-standards 'eh??? :confused:Quote:
sacred cows
And Oliver, The cat gave me a good laugh and the dialog bubble of the cow on the grounds. (Who left the banana there?)
Has anyone tried giving their pets little alcohol? Or heard of something like that happening? Just curious....
Thanks everyone, glad you liked the pics.
Apart from photography, I’m also into juggling…

Anyway, back to the serious stuff… Three Blind Mice on the BBC (Big Black Cat)

BBC is a very laid back cat, some say he’s even a bit melon-cauli
