That's really nice. Love the blurred background. Matches the tongue
This photo, for me, is such a good example of how sharpening can be used effectively. One can almost feel the dog's coat and the sand. Love candids!
This photo is not mine but from my son-in-law.
It was shot in jpg and he did some adjustments on LR and then... I saw it.
I said: Hey, I like that. I want it.
I came to my computer and made some adjustments. The photo is ruined in technical terms but it is very curious and interesting. That' s is why I am posting it in a smaller size...
It could be posted at the SCP but I decided to post it here because it has much to do with pets. Never less it is indeed a SCP.
You have seen the cat before...
It is also curious that I - this time again - was able to "feel" how much better the behavior of a RAW file is versus JPG.

Very interesting shot, Antonio. I can't decide whether the cat is simply curious, on guard, or menacing/ready to jump and scratch, so it gives the image a lot of emotional/reactive depth.
You all remember this... Muscle hunk gets out of the water
Well what about this one then? A better muscle hunk gets out of the water This one is mine.
Sorry about that, but I thought it really funny (you need to have seen the movie)
Meet Bubbles - I can't remember now why we/the kids called her that, probably something to do with how she loved to sit on the sink as a kitten and pat the stream of running water from the tap or even stick her head in it
Shot today with my new lens:
Nikon D5000 + 70-300mm f4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR at 280mm and 1/1000s, f/5.6 at iso800
1000 x 789 px.
Nice Shot Dave: Bubbles has that "Oh Lord, What is he doing now" look on her face.
Amazon got your order there quick. What do you think so far. Never mind...this is probably not the place to discuss. I'll check your original thread for comments. Looks pretty good so far.
Wendy
Love the tiger kitty: nice catchlights in the eyes, although there's an extra reflection in his right eye. Natural light, windows, maybe? It moght be worth cloning out.
It definitely captures that cat look of concentration: easy to believe he's headed for the feeder.
Cheers,
Rick
