Hi Abhimanyu,
You have not indicated whether you wanted critique.
The most immediate suggestion I can make is to keep a closer eye on exposure since both of these seem to have lost detail in the white plumage.
However, it is relevant that you were shooting with a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS (which will have a more limited dynamic range than a DSLR).
EXIF data:
Manual exposure, 1/403 sec, f/8, ISO 160
Single, Manual AF point selection, with a depth of field of from 23.75 m to infinity.
AF Area Mode: Single-point AF
4.3 - 215 mm lens
Shot at 215 mm (FFE = 1200mm I believe)

Yes Dave, I wanted some suggestion for improvement and critique for the posts.
You don't mention if you shoot RAW or jpeg or, if the images are post processed, or software used.
Hi again Abhimanyu,
Well they are both well focused and pretty sharp, no easy task at that focal length, so well done.
To improve them;
I would suggest, for #1, a framing (or PP crop) that doesn't remove the heads of the background birds, or perhaps clone out he remains of any bird you cannot totally include or exclude - but I accept you may not wish to do this.
For #2, I feel that the main subject is too centred, so if mine I would consider cropping off the left hand edge, giving a new left edge that just removes the background goose. Further, it might be better to remove a bit of the out of focus foreground, perhaps snipping just above the dark object lower left.
HTH, Dave
Hi Chauncey, the images were shot in JPEG.
You may please mention the location; please also straighten the image with respect to the river border line in the second image
