Cook, Shoot,Eat, Irish Coffee with that!
To warm you up a bit by the fire I made these chocolate squares and Irish Coffee. It must be a sign of spring when Quebeçois start talking of "Green Irish". This relaxing moment brought to you with tons of fun to assemble the image in front of the camera. Your comments are welcome.

Bonjour, Louise!
I love the concept of your work, but I wonder if your lovely food and drink would stand out better if arranged differently with background?

Hello Marie, thanks, you always have great ideas, any suggestions? The fire was not cooperating for a different arrangement you understand,

Dear Louise.
I usually like to ask the person who takes the picture how they feel about their image and I did not. For that, I am sorry. So, please accept that the below is strictly IMHO.
I see a lot of browns and warm tones. Your lovely food and drink that you worked so hard to prepare gets lost in the table and background. I just wondered if an old fashioned table cover - white with lace around it would help separate the forground from the background? Or something.....
I also wondered if moving the Irish Coffee would be better if displayed just slightly right of your fire. Is the fire a backdrop? My eyes say that it does not "fit" with your display, as there are horizontal waves in it, and because I cannot see your picture big enough to determine if there are firelight reflections I can only guess.
"Moodier" lighting would work well here. Normally, when we sit in front of a fire, there is a warm afgan, a quilt draped somewhere. The lights are dimmed and your fire is a primary source of light.
You have a great idea, here. Good for you.
Marie
