    I suspect they spent a lot more time setting up a shot and a lot less time post processing. And likely didn't ask anyone for critique

    Is it? I didn't know. Pocket camera?

    My how photography has progressed , nice pics.
    If it hadn't, I very well might not be doing it!

    Photographers probably hoped clients weren't too discerning about how the results of their portrait turned out

    I don't know how this thing worked. How jealous the photography industry back in those days would have been of a camera we now have in our phones! (I'm sure they would have thought combining a camera and a telephone was a bizarre idea too

    If I'm not mistaken, Ansel Adams sometimes had mules to carry his equipment.

    He should have just used his pocket phone (probably would have worked as well or better)

    Oh, not necessarily. As an example, Ansel Adams (already mentioned in the thread) would spend vast amounts of time in the darkroom doing what we now call in this digital age, post processing.

    True enough. And from what I understand he was a bit different in that regard.
