Photographers probably hoped clients weren't too discerning about how the results of their portrait turned outI suspect they spent a lot more time setting up a shot and a lot less time post processing. And likely didn't ask anyone for critique
I don't know how this thing worked. How jealous the photography industry back in those days would have been of a camera we now have in our phones! (I'm sure they would have thought combining a camera and a telephone was a bizarre idea tooAnalog photography at its most basic level?
