Considering that you've taken a peek or two at my photos of clear glass, keep in mind that you can use the white wall to define the edges of the glass with bright light against a dark background. You do that by placing the light source directly behind the background facing the wall. The light that reflects off the wall goes around all sides of the dark background and defines the edges of the glass. My point is that even though the background of the scene is dark, you're using the white wall behind it to help light the subject.
Naturally, you can use that white wall to reflect light in all sorts of situations that are far more typical.

this is a far more interesting subject than I originally thought.:D Thanks for the insight on the background for the glass. I am sure I will get around to that one day.:)

Yes...they are my friends indeed because I used to do a lot of sewing "stuffs" and "crafts" for the house. Before I left 3 weeks ago, I saw that Hancock Fabrics near us is shutting its door for the last time after several attempts to do so, so I might be heading that way as soon as my headache subsides a little. I have a backdrop holder...a real one for photography. But I want to buy another one for downstairs and I am thinking of a smaller version -- a rolling garment rack or the garment rack to go upstairs in my studio for small item photography and my backdrop for downstairs in the dining room...
