More colorful Ct. snow birds!

My camera is all that is left between me and insanity,living in Ct. (AKA the frozen tundra) this winter has been a challenge,although normally I enjoy the local weather. I hope you enjoy my pictures and as always feel free to leave your impressions.

Beautiful shots! My favs are the cardinal and the chunky little gray dude in the last one! I envy the snow, ok not THAT much of it but some would be nice, we never get it. I understand about the camera and sanity. I have a teenager and to have my camera and photographing as an escape is the thing that keeps me sane!

I always like to see a little bit of well focused foliage etc around bird scenes so these have worked well. Maybe a couple are cropped fractionally tight; but you may well have been forced to exclude unwanted areas.

My fav would be the last one best of all because the bird was posed like the snow is its nesting place. And push pullll -- the cardinal!!!

I also like the last shot. You brought out great details in the feathers and eye of the dark-eyed junco. They are hard to get because the eye will just blend into the feathers unless the shot is captured at the right angle. I agree with you about the weather. This winter just keeps on giving......
