Also something in the bottom left corner for a clone away.
I wonder if a fraction of a crop from the sky, and whatever is required from the sides to keep the size ratio, would add even more strength to the skyline.
Worth viewing at full screen size.
It is sure that you live in a nice place Matt May I asky why B&W ? The image seems to be a good candidate for color.
I would have missed the lines if you hadn't pointed it out, at least on this monitor. Nice conversion.
Thank you Binnur, its not a bad place. I've only really appreciated how nice it is since I've started photography.
I started off trying to work with a colour version Binnur but I couldn't seem to get the result I wanted, I don't think the original image was the best quality. I will probably shoot it again.
How inspiring it must be to live in place with views like that. I agree, I think I would like to see this in color, with "golden hour" light and maybe an interesting sky. Right now it just doesn't do anything for me. ...and that's partially because I know what you're capable of.
Matt, this is really nice and very much worth a few more goes over different times -the house in it is great to put it in perspective of size but a better sky and light on it would really add punch
Matt -- your place has a lot of photography with just this one shot. Try different times of the day for one. I am sure you can watch for shadows and light and some clouds before the the storm comes...
Thanks for the feedback everyone
You have a terrific view from your roof. So many possibilities with processing. I agree that it needs more pop, but I like the composition with the tighter crop. If the sky had more clouds for contrast, I think it would help. At least you don't have to go too far to try a different time of day or different weather pattern
Nice Matt; now please go to that hill top and click your home and post; a challenge
The crop looks better to me, Matt.
We have a 'sleeping giant' on a hill top near where I live but most of my attempts at photographing the scene get ditched. It needs that perfect light angle which I seem to keep getting wrong.
