Very different look, shadows are very subtle, her eyes and smile are the jewel of this capture.

Like this pic better the composition and the tones are more even. Well done and a nice subject helps too.

Another really nice image, Harmon! Again, what's not to like.

On the flip side, there are few things that strike me about this shot, both positive and a bit less positive.

    1. Interesting choice of orientation. This is a shot that would normally be taken in vertical / portrait orientation. There are pluses and minuses here, and ultimately, personal choice plays a major role in which way to go. It's a bit more difficult to do, but I think you've nailed it. I think the way that your model's eyes are looking lightly back to the camera is why this works. A touch less negative space camera left might work too.

    2. Cutting off the top of the model's head. I do this all the time with a head shot or a head and shoulders shot, but not generally with a 3/4 shot. The head just butts into the top of the frame; I'm not sure that works for me; with this much body in the shot, I think you need to leave a bit of "headroom" above the head. Another small issue is where you cut the baby finger; either leaving it all in or trimming it just below the joint would be better; seeing the joint and part of the fingernail; but this is getting really, really niggly.

    3. Sepia tone - I like it. It adds warmth to the shot.

    4. Lighting - I think broad lighting works nicely for your model; her face carries it well. You are starting to sculpt her facial features with the light.

On the other hand, you need to work on the fill light. Dark shadows under both eyes and her chin and chest are quite dark; I think pushing some soft fill light into those areas would make this shot just shine.
