Little Radha - C&C Welcome

Hi, going forward on my photography venture I stopped and clicked another shot. Can you please review it and let me know what exactly is missing for it to make it much better?


While shooting for holi festival in the village, i saw this cute girl (what we usually call them Radha in the Nandaon village), and i asked her to pose like this... against this wonderful colored frame.

"Nandgaon" is the village of Lord Krishna,

Thank you for your valuable review It is a symbol in Hinduism for peacock as Lord Krishna use to wear a peacock feather on his head.

I love this image. The color of the door contrasts wonderfully with the young lady's bright clothing. Her expression is priceless and the pose is great.

Very nice contrasty colors and I like the girl's posture. Her expression and the way she wears her shawl add a lot to the composition. Despite a lot of texture and colors, the composition doesn't look crowded and nothing distracts from the girl. Congrats

Raj - I'm not sure that the green wall camera right is doing anything for this composition. Why not get rid of most of it and focus on the girl and a reduced colour set?

Manfred's crop is what I was thinking when I saw this photo yesterday afternoon but I was in a hurry to start cooking so I just copied the link to go back to it later. The pose is very beautiful. And the shot is simple and colourful. I love it.

The crop does two things, I think, Raj. Firstly, it largely removes a distracting element that really doesn't do anything for the shot. Secondly, because the girl takes up even more area in the shot, it becomes more about the girl and less about the setting. If your post-processing skills are up to it, you could even select the green part of the remaining wall and remove some of the yellow to more closely match the blue of the door. I suspect that would improve this image some more.
