Stellar colors, utilizing 20/20 hindsight...more DOF was called for.

    The title is brilliant.

In my opinion you choose the DOF well. The slightly out of focus wing is more of a suggestion of a cape this way.

Thanks! I know! but I was standing at the end of the dock and they were all flying in my direction, i got so caught up in the moment that forgot to change my settings. I did reprimand myself when I got home I ended up really liking the effect, not that I would use it again but for this one I thought it worked or at least I tried to make it work

Thanks Trevor! It was a fluke but I did end up liking it for the mood of the shot.

Trevor has a valid point with the cape thing if...your able to apply some lens blur to the left side
    to mimic the right side.

I like it for the different pose. Your titles are priceless, wish I was that creative in my thinking.

Thanks Rita! The titles truly just come from the first thought that pops in my head when I see it.

Barbara...I wasn't expecting this shot. Really!! When I saw your title even before I opened your post, my mind went to the comparison of seeing three different versions of that show in three different countries in the same year (1998). That is my favourite broadway show ever!

When I saw this shot, nope! I wasn't disappointed.....it made me smile ... we can all take a lesson from you on titling our shots/posts. The title alone is so compelling that one who doesn't open your post is the poor loser...anyway, my opinion, nothing to do with the constitution.

I just love the concentration of this bird. The pose is flawless, the photographer is brilliant. What can I say? You outdid yourself this time around. Beautiful...!!!

Nice shot, great colours and composition.

I am not normally a huge fan of bird shots, but I really like the way you present yours.

Izzie, Wow! Thanks so much for all the kind words. Most of all I am glad it made you smile. To me that is most important , if you smiled at a piece of my work/photo then I have "moved" you and that is after all what art is all about. For me it is about evoking a feeling from the viewer, good, or bad. As I have said many times I am much more an artistic shooter than a technical one. I still have much to learn on the technical side, which has shown (I hope) improvement already from all the incredible advice I get from this forum. If I can ever marry the 2 it would be awesome.
