#2 and #3 - IMO your exposures are a bit too long for both shots and the skies need darkening. The water might also need darkening a bit but not as much as the skies need. (I'm not sure if those images look better after reducing the exposure though, because the clouds look blurred because of the long exposure.)
Hi Binnur, the 'thing' is a small island and I often wonder about removing these features as they denote where the shot was taken. My thoughts on this particular image are that as there is already a long land mass perhaps the island balances it?

The cloud blurring was something I wanted to assess and my thoughts so far are that I prefer the 'less blurred', which to achieve means exposing darker unless I start pushing ISO or opening up more. This then creates additional problems of noise and DoF, dependent on the scene. There is then the option of double exposures.

Cloud blurring I suspect is going to be preferable with little or lots, and a bit boring in the middle

Grahame, I forgot to say that the 'long exposure noise reduction' doubles your shooting time and I find it really annoying. Because the time in sunset/sunrise shots is really precious and the golden hour doesn't last long. I prefer to shoot different compositions and/or prefer to try different shooting angles in that precious time rather than wasting time with long exposure noise reduction. I tried it a couple of times in the past and I decided to give it up. If I need noise reduction I do it in PP.

BTW , after looking at the image for the second time,I think you are right about not cloning the little island and IMO it balances the scene as you have said. Without it , the other long mass would look too centered and this might make the image look boring.

Inspiring, Grahame. I really like the first: I like your color temperature, that you stopped the stars, and that you left the land masses in. This one should be a treasure for you.
