    Autumn on the River

I haven't posted here in a while, though am starting to get more busy with taking pictures and processing them again after having completed a much needed technology refresh. Here's one from the fall taken almost happenstance with my little EOS-M.

Hi Chris. I like the image. IMO it needs some clarity, saturation and sharpening.

Agree with Binnur, needs a bit more post processing, clouds are very striking.

I agree with both Shadowman and bnnrcn, it needs a little more post processing. As the photo is at the moment, it almost looks as though it has a blue cast over it. Maybe play with the temperature slider (Lightroom) to warm it a little and add some clarity and see if that helps.

    Hi Chris,

+1 to the all other suggestions and I would also increase exposure (in PP), by about one stop.

That should be easy to do in ACR, from within Photoshop CC, even if you did only shoot jpg last fall.

    (ACR = Adobe Camera RAW)

I like the composition and the sky is interesting, kinda foreboding too, so don't overdo the exposure increase.

    Agree with the others.

That really is a great view.

Just to add a few more comments - in addition to the blue cast, the shot could use a bit of adjustment on the white point and black point (hint - the image appears to be underexposed). add a bit of contrast as well. It looks like it needs a bit of sharpening as well.

Compositionally, I like the image, but technically, it has a number of problems that need to be fixed in post.
