Roadrunner

I usually do not shoot bird photos, but got this shot of a roadrunner about a year ago. C&C please.

Hi Dean. The bird is very nice. The BG looks a bit distracting. If it was my image I would crop the image from right and make a square crop for a better look.

Beep beep... The fact that you got a roadrunner in that pose is a feat in itself as far as I'm concerned. I have a couple that live by me but they never agree to having their picture taken. I so wish that bit of mesquite leaves weren't covering it's tail and I agree, the background is a bit busy but nicely blurred and is tolerable. I think your white balance may be a little warm but I really like the shot. Nice capture and way to sling a camera!

I agree with the previous comments. Not the best of backgrounds but quite acceptable. Would it be possible to selectively darken the highlights slightly?

And yes, I would crop the right side or at least clone out those leaves.

But these are very slight negative thoughts; overall an excellent shot.

Forgive my ignorance...but I have never seen a road runner before...I thought they are just cartoon characters. I see it is a beautiful bird. Nice shot...

Lovely shot, I have never seen a real one before either, only the cartoon. But unlike Izzie I was aware they existed
