Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
That's an amazing ship. I like the other boats around it giving perspective. Your photography looks good to me.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Thanks for your comments Nick. I should have mentioned that the green and yellow boats are harbour ferries.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Those are very well done Dave. We think of Sydney Harbour as being big but the cruise ships still dominate. You must have got around a bit to get such a variety of points of view. I travelled back and forth across the bridge daily during my student days but I still appreciate how interesting the place looks.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Nice shots. Love Circular Quay & the Opera House area.
I know it's rarely possible when travelling and this is not a criticism but it would be great to have got these shots during the morning or evening golden hour. The softer red/gold light would have really lifted them.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Thanks for your comments Tony James and Graham.
Tony the first shot was taken from the Museum of Contemporary Art, the second from Circular Quay, the third from a balcony on the Opera House and the fourth from a ferry near Fort Denison.
Graham I agree with you about the light but as you say, it's not always possible when travelling. I think I would have a photographic field day around the harbour in the golden hours if I lived in Sydney.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Nice series, looks like you have a few dust bunnies on your gear.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Good shots of a beautiful ship in a great setting Dave.
At least they are considering the engineers on-board these days and reducing the number of lifeboats that have to be maintained

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
A pity about #2. If you could have got that one with a fraction more space on the left and without that half of a yellow boat being there, it would have been one of those classic shots which appears so rarely.
All well focused and exposed.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Thanks for your comments John, Grahame, Nandakumar and Geoff.
John I hadn't noticed the dust bunnies but I can see them now particularly on 2 and 4 where the sky is darker. It wasn't that long ago that I gave the sensor a few puffs with the air rocket but obviously I didn't get everything or more have appeared since then.
Grahame I did notice that there weren't many lifeboats but as I don't know much about ships I just let it go !
Geoff I did try to avoid that yellow boat but there are so many boats coming and going into the quay that it makes it very hard to get a clear shot. I could possibly do some cloning.

Re: MS Queen Elizabeth
Dave...so you were away for a while now you are back with all these shots of Queenie Beth, they are all good ones too...well a few hitch here and there but they are negligible. Good catch all of them. I was about to ask where you photograph these from but you had already responded in one of your post. Thanks for sharing...
