More of an artistic rendition than an abstract expression, your subjects are clearly identifiable so hardly abstract.

Hi Jeff. I find them artistic too like John. IMO #1 might also look nice if you add a tint to the image, #2 is very nice

definitely falls within the artistic. Which can be understood as you showing us the common reality in a new way. Whereas a hardcore abstract type creates something that does not have a grounding in the common reality. Or at least that is how the difference works in my mind.
nevertheless #2 gets my vote.
