Nothing to do with Manfred's excellent image...

This has nothing specifically to do with Manfred's wonderful image of these wolves. I am just using this image as an example. What it shows is how the images on CiC often look when I open them. For the lack of a better word, they look squished or narrowed. This doesn't happen all the time but pretty often...

I can often close one of these images and reopen it and it will show the correct proportions as with this...

I don't ever remember experiencing this issue.

That's weird. Never seen that happen. Maybe your system has narrow band width and you need to switch to broadband

I have not thought of a narrow band with problem

    In reality:

This happens intermittently. If it was something inherently wrong with my system, I suspect that it would happen all the time

Richard - I see this from time to time as well. Generally all it seems to take to fix it is refresh the page and it displays correctly again. I expect it is simply a problem with the browser communicating with the image source.

I use Firefox pretty well exclusively, so I don't know if it happens with other browsers.

I've experienced it and it usually corrects when viewed with the light table.

Sorry, John. I don't understand that. Is it a utility or an application or a tool perhaps?

    Ted,

When John referred to the "light table," he was referring to the capability here at CiC of clicking an image to make it appear in a larger size and with other capabilities that then become available. All of that is branded as either the Lytebox or the Lytetable. I think it's the former but I'm not sure.

Seen this quite often, but it always resolved when I use Lytebox, and I've never been able to see a pattern. I use Chrome.

Yes I've seen it occasionally on my ipad using Chrome. Fortunately it doesn't last.

I've also experience this on most of my uploaded images. I let is ride and submit the message with the shot anyway and it corrects itself in time.
