Re: Glasswork - Frozen Action Wine
Dear Izzie,
I am not yet sure how things work, but I did go back and check my selected shutter speed. It was set at 1/500. However, some exifs read 1/256, and some read 1/250.
I could probably tell you why this is in 6 months, LOLs

Re: Glasswork - Frozen Action Wine
From your close crop I’d say 1/500th makes more sense Marie.
It still looks a bit blurred (to me at least) but if it is it is close enough to being stopped for rock ‘n roll!
Could you have gotten a good exposure at a faster shutter do you think? And did you try it at sync using the flash to stop the pour? Just curious!

Re: Glasswork - Frozen Action Wine
Dear Terry,
I use a 430II Canon speedlite. I had it set at 1/16th power. My flash was my only light source.
Since I did not know the answer to your question, I asked Kodiak and he said that I may have been able to go up as high as 1/8000 at full power, but my settings that I used for this shot enough. (1/500 at 1/16th = 1/8000 at full power)
