Lovely light and texture. I like the first one best. Elegant, natural curves. Nicely done.

I take it the locals have learned that the lunatic out staring at the driftwood is harmless. Do they talk to you real loud and slowly when they run into you on the street? With big smiles and hand gestures thrown in?

Good series Trevor, keeps us wood fetishists happy.

It's No 2 for me, the detail is superb.

They are very images. I wonder how they would look with a B&W conversion?

Trevor, I like all three of them...the curves are excellent on #1 and in #2 the texture galore; the combination of both in #3, mid ground between #1 and 2. I like the shadows too especially in #1.

The inhabitants of Vancouver and Hornby Island seemed to accept my weird behaviour. The locals here just think I am weird and when they do stop to inquire about my activity seem quite shocked that anyone would spend their time standing around waiting for the light to change so they can take a picture of a field.

Horrid. There is not enough tonal difference in the grain to separate it out well. Ends up a uniform grey.

If they are farmers and similar to those I've known, they likely think simply taking a photo of a field is odd, much less waiting for the light.
