When I'm dissatisfied with a particularly bright area such as the middle of a candle flame or the sun, I do the following: select the troublesome area, bring up a color picker, pick the color immediately adjacent to the bright area where darker tones exist, reduce the opacity until the problematic area looks both natural and a bit darker than it was, but not quite as dark as the area that was picked.
Yes..but...but...it would have been nice to know for those who do not know how to click to get the EXIF, even just at the line of each numbers to indicate the time without having to see the EXIF...I dunno...I think it was Trevor who once did that (I may be wrong) and it is great....just a thought...
