Maybe someone can explain what we should expect and why.

I certainly would be interested - no matter what I do that spot looks like a hole in the electronic fabric of my LCD. When I get those, I usually have to settle for love 'em or delete 'em.

When I'm dissatisfied with a particularly bright area such as the middle of a candle flame or the sun, I do the following: select the troublesome area, bring up a color picker, pick the color immediately adjacent to the bright area where darker tones exist, reduce the opacity until the problematic area looks both natural and a bit darker than it was, but not quite as dark as the area that was picked.

That's pretty much my wife's attitude toward me, more often the latter than the former.

Thanks Izzie, I thought the time of the shots were in the EXIF data?

Yes..but...but...it would have been nice to know for those who do not know how to click to get the EXIF, even just at the line of each numbers to indicate the time without having to see the EXIF...I dunno...I think it was Trevor who once did that (I may be wrong) and it is great....just a thought...
