Lovely. What a fabulous dog.
Don't know what aperture you had but Cascha's nose is slightly out of focus in the second shot.

Lovely shots of a beautiful dog. I like #1 best because the DOF includes the nose. If this shot were mine, I would try a slight vignette...

Cascha really is very photogenic. They eyes really pop in both photos. The first shot is awesome all the way around. The bright eyes and tilt of the head are great in the second photo but as others have already pointed out the nose is OOF. In more candid photos you might get by with the OOF nose. But for true portraits like this, not having the nose in focus is a bust. By the very nature of portraiture the viewer is invited to examine the face in detail and the nose is an important feature of a dog's character. I always enjoy photos of Cascha.
