Have you seen what Mike says in post #20 yet? There are ways to move the bird higher if you want

Anyway, it is a very nice image with or without the 'assaulting' bird.

I am still trying to decide if I prefer with or without the pelican just wish he had been in same vicinity but a little higher.

I like the tinted one and #4 best of the above.

    Lovely evocative work.

    Two maxims worth considering:

Barbara #1 and 3 for me...for the reasons already stated above (after I had made my choices, that is...) The others are all good too but I like #1 first for the calmness of the green with it. Worst comes to worst, you can always google the words for the tutorial that you like and choose from there the article/tutorial that suits your understanding...it's what I've been doing for a long time...

If I hadn't seen the first set with the problematic pelican I would think the second set was quite ok. But having seen the first set with it in there, the second set seems to have something missing. I think the solution could be to move the pelican up a tad and to the left - maybe resize it, too.

You have produced 4 different images with 4 different feelings to them, Barbara. The 4th feels a bit flat to me, but that maybe because we have the first 3 to compare it to.

I'm not keen on the tinted vignette in the first one. Maybe it is just a little too much tint, though.

I like the 2nd and 3rd and probably prefer the 3rd. I would also try pushing the brightness and contrast further on that one - that is not to say it make it something better, but just another possible version of it.

Thanks for the input! That naughty pelican will have to wait til my PP are a little better. I am leaning to his needing to be there as well.
