    Follow Me

The thread title refers to our tour guide at the Sydney Opera House but the image is meant to be all about the complex lines and angles and also the light and shade. I'd be interested to hear your views on this one - I'm in two minds. eg does it all come together or is it a bit chaotic.

Pls click on image for full size viewing

Cool shot, some lovely lines I'd be photographing this place from all angles!

Dave - I like it, and while it does feel a bit chaotic I would agree...but it is an organized chaos (is that possible?)

There is many angles here that one can find, and there is more in there for sure. Well done.

Hi Dave It doesn't seem chaotic to me, very nice place and I agree with Matt about shooting this place with different angles. But , for me, the tour guide is really distracting. IMO the image would look nicer without him.

    Re: Follow Me

Thanks for your comments Matt, John, Erik, Binnur and Izzie.

I think from memory I did try to get the shot without people but I was too slow. The tour guide moved in suddenly. Aren't they a pain these tour guides, always getting in the way ! (I'm sure they say the same about camera wielding tourists too though)

Cloning might be an option but I don't think I have the patience ..

I like the angles and lines, Dave, and I don't mind the guide being in the frame - kind of a 'soft' counterpoint to the hard geometrical shapes - but I think he/she is little too large in the frame. Maybe select a smaller guide next time

Can you pick and choose your guide over there? I think if you got the short end of the stick, that was it.....

    I like it Dave,

I agree with Greg about the guide adding another element to the image after all these spaces are designed for people to be in and enjoy. It might be nice to tone the guide down a bit and drop a couple more people in there. Having said that I understand why you might be disappointed with the guide if you were after a purely Architectural shot.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions Robbie. Toning down the guide is worth a try. I'm afraid my pp skills don't extend to "dropping a couple more people in" but I see where you are coming from.
