    Through the keyhole

    Through the keyhole

Shadowman said he had spotted some flecks and found them distracting. Perhaps I need to clean my monitor more often? In any case I went back and cleaned up the shot.

So many questions and thoughts, first is this an actual keyhole? Did you use flash?
The color looks fine, I see some flecks of lght in the background that distracts from the subject.

Nope no flash. Just a desk lamp and a flashlight. I don't see any flecks but I did leave in some ridges on the bottom to indicate the outside of the keyhole. And as you can see from the attached original shot there is no keyhole. I suppose the 'key' to the shot was taping the extension tube to my camera.

I was trying for something entirely different but it just didn't work so I thought that I would have some fun with it.

Thanks, it was a fun workup. The original idea was to try for circular shot of an old jar draped in a blue cloth to bring out the highlights of the glass. That was just not going to happen so I decided to have some fun.
