Hello All,
I am a new member from Cape Cod, Ma.
Look forward to visiting many forums.
Just bought a Nikon 610-at this point, I am not sure to to start to actually use it!
Any suggestions forum members?

Hi, Sharron. Welcome to CIC. You can't go wrong by setting it on full auto and just get out and shoot. You can also look through the tutorials available on this site and read the ones that you can make sense of at this time. You may have to come back to some of them later after you've used the camera for a bit. Doing those two things will be fun and will start to generate questions and challenges for you to which we can provide advice as needed. There are some members who teach photography who may have a checklist to get you started. But I'm the type that learns by doing so that's the best I can offer

Hi Sharron, Same as what Dan said really.
The best thing to read up on first is using Apertures, Shutter speeds and ISO.
Hope this helps, just remember there is no rush, just enjoy yourself.
