It's another broken wine bottle. However, unlike the last time, I didn't break this one. It arrived broken. The good deal is that not only will I get a replacement bottle but I also got to keep and photograph the broken one.
Setup
This setup wouldn't have been possible without Terry's idea to make a snoot for a lamp by attaching a reversed reflector to the first reflector. He suggested it to someone in a thread quite awhile ago.
The tabletop is glossy black acrylic and the background is translucent vellum. First photo: A medium continuous-light lamp is fitted with a snoot mentioned above. The snoot's opening is partly covered with orange and blue gels. That lamp is shining toward the subject and camera through the background. Second photo: The foil is lit from the front with a small continuous-light lamp fitted with two layers of diffusion material to reduce the brightness. A reflector is also adding light to the upper area of the foil. The two photos were merged.
