I have seen the hairy stems of squashes many times before but never thought to photograph one. You have a good eye Brian!

If a Squash is in the gourd family you are right. we have been composting and improving our soil for about 15 years and I do believe we have the best on the mountain.

Have you tried reducing highlights a bit? Waterdrops might look better this way.
