Palawan Flowerpecker (Prionochilus plateni)
The Palawan flowerpecker (Prionochilus plateni) is a species of bird in the Dicaeidae family. It is endemic to the Philippines.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
The scientific name commemorates the German zoologist Carl Constantin Platen.

First of all, welcome to CiC...it will be nice if you can say something about yourself via your profile.
I like your shot of the cashew fruit...I don't remember, can you eat the fruit or is this just grown for the seed/nut at the top? Just curious...I think we used to have about two trees at the back of our property while I was living there for a while...
An oh, I've been to Palawan once for a week...it is about a 200 mile or so walk from top to bottom and I enjoyed the most beautiful week of my life there. I think this is where I have seen a waterfall near the beach...of all places. One day I will go back there...one for my bucket list.
