    Brian,

    This one seems far too dark to me. It's nearly impossible to see what the subject is. Also, I'd crop away a lot of the empty black space.

    Fair enough. Did you try it full size? i was trying for a feeling of traveling in and into the unknown which accounts for all the empty space. But it wouldn't be the first time nor sadly the last time that my best of intentions have fallen short.

    Brian,

    A bit on the dark side(exposure wisea) for me as well. I viewed with LightBox and still no improvement. I'll try on another device later.

    I suspect if you increase the highlights slightly but keep the shadows black the web will stand out a little better.

    But I'm not sure about that bit of out of focus debris on the right of the web. Might need cropping closer on the right to remove part of it?

    there does seem top be a growing consensus that it is almost right. I just might go back and give it another go.

    I could bring up the highlights. I played quite a bit with the crop and I agree that it could be improved. I'm just not quite sure how. Maybe I go back and start again.
