    As soon as I opened this I thought, uh oh...I've seen this on Shorpy.com before but then I quickly realized what you've done...I've never seen it in color! Great job man!

    You didn't ask for critique but I can't help myself. The ONLY thing that hints to me that this isn't a color photo is his skin tone. A bit monochromatic and I only notice it when I see the warmth in the 3/4 tones of the shadows in his arm. I think the hair is AWESOME and all the background looks like authentic color. Back to the skin color, I would suspect a machinist to be paler and the dirt and grim to be darker. Other than that, everything looks spot on! Again, great job!

    Thanks for the critique and compliments! The reason I chose to color him this way is because I read the photographers notes on the composition. He mentions that he's a paid model and that he was posed this way. Since he's not really a machinist I went for a more natural look over paler. Thanks for looking!
