Wherever you go, you always leave the foot print

The girl in the picture was walking on the sea beach and she was looking down again and again to see her foot prints, how they look like . I felt like capturing this moment in my camera. Here it is :

    C & C are welcome.

I like the perspective on this shot, but don't like the out of focus girl. She is just too much a significant part of the image for that to work for me. I suspect that the shot would be stronger with a greater depth of field.

I suspect that had you let her get a fair bit farther away from the camera and you were able to keep a trail of footprints fairly sharp at least part of the way back to where she is walking, what you were trying to do would have worked better.

I expect that you are trying to present the footprint as the subject, but things just don't seem to have worked this way. The footprint does not stand out enough to be the main subject in this image.

I'd get rid of the white dot in the sand around the midline of the photo. It stands out.
There's also a dark halo around her pants which is quite predominant in the sky.

My first thoughts were along similar lines to Manfred. Good idea but not quite getting full potential impact at the moment. However, I wouldn't give up on this scene.

Possibly with some selective editing, fractionally increase the foreground brightness to boost the footprint contrast and if you can't get her in focus, how about adding more blur? And tone down the highlights on her clothing.

Having her slightly more distant with a couple more paces of footprints may have worked better, but too late now.

As well as Venser's comments, there are a couple of other very small bright spots on the sand.

O sort of agree with Manfred - have you thought about cropping the shot, I don't think all of the girl is required here.

The trouble with these quick action shots, Tejal, is that you rarely get enough 'thinking time' so it is often just down to luck.

Good suggestion....I have never given a thought on this but yes it could work. Thanks for your input.

........ Actually when I saw that girl noticing her foot print...it immediately came in my mind to click her foot print along with her feet. Very quickly I tried to take this low angle frame.....other technical aspects really didn't come in my mind by that time.
