    I really like the shot that includes a bit of moss. When I was a kid we called them "rollie polies" for their propensity to roll into a ball when threatened.

    Really great macros! I particularly like #2 which has great detail of the eye.

    aside from perhaps a slightly different crop they are great but to pick 1 I pick 2. the eyes are superb

    The first are too wide' and the second #1 is 'too close' and to overcome the OOF foreground of #1 you could clone some soft material to create a f/g which while soft is not disturbingly so ....

    Second #2 and #3 are excellent to me and you have left just enough room with the crop for them to feel free to move into.

    I call them slaters and we have quite a few around the place So common I have yet to photograph them.
