This week we managed a few days out, one of which resulted in me blowing some savings and updating my camera to the new Sony A77ii - it was the 79 AF points that sold it to me. I have tried it out on the daffodils posted elsewhere, here were the very first shots taken on the way home via Tintern Abbey in the Wye Valley.
This is a very spiritual place and I found it quite overwhelming in scale....added to that a new camera I was unfamiliar with and most of the images have hit the recycle bin. Here are a couple I was fairly pleased with but it will be take another visit or two to do any real justice
The sphere is a very recently installed art installation - if you zoom in you see it it the same image as rest and it is like this all the way around - very clever. There is also a camera halfway up the end wall - it was taking time lapse photos every second - we never got to ask what the full project was - another reason to go back
And then on the way home, as the sun was setting we came across this
We stopped and it flew right over us
Needlessto say I completely forgot shutter priority may have been a better option...... but it was a good end to what had been a great day
