Crisis - Panic - Help - lens zoom ring jammed
Just pulled the Canon 17-85 Kit f4 -f 5.6 IS USM Lens out to mount it up for an early morning shoot today and ... the zoom ring is jammed. It's locked at 17mm and won't turn at all (remember, the lens does barrel extend on zooming).
I haven't used it much lately (as you will have seen, most stuff has been done with either the Tokina 11-16 or the Canon 70-200 F4 L).
Help. Any suggestions about what I can do myself. Or is that not a good idea?

Re: Crisis - Panic - Help
Donald, I just did a quick google and came up with this. If you scroll down a ways, there seems to be better info. Me, I would never be brave enough to try to fix one myself! Good luck with it

You are brilliant. Never mind Colin's 'What is this?' question. You get 10 Brownie points - doubled, for finding this information.
It at least points me towards knowing what the problem is. I would never try and fix it myself, not that I know how complicated it would be.
