Some Butterflies

Last week while at the coast I visited a butterfly farm, it was a fascinating experience, learning much about the life of butterflies. Apart from showing all stages in the butterfly's life it also allowed me to get really close to them and made for some great photographic opportunities. Also found some praying mantises as a bonus.

Hi Tobias . I especially like the last two images. It looks as if it is posing intentionally in the last one I think you need some PP work for the butterfly shots .

Very good Tobias, I think this is the first time I have seen a butterflies eyes so prominent.

Manti No 5 is my favourite of the set.

Butterflies are wonderful subjects and I especially like the eyes in the second shot.
To my eye (or perhaps my monitor) these all look slightly over exposed causing loss of some highlights. If you shot in RAW I don't think they're over exposed to the extent that you couldn't retrieve the detail by reducing exposure and/or highlights.
