1957 Chevrolet Bel Air tail fin.

This was shot last summer during a small car show, "gathering", in our town of Corsicana, Tx. I was shooting some prom pictures for a friend's kid and when I spotted this beautiful '57 Chevy.

I've seen so many photos of these old cars that I think it's almost to the point of being boring. I try to find detail shots that are somewhat different. When I circled the car looking for an interesting perspective I found this angle with the sweet little lady smiling as I admired her car. That is the owner's reflection in the paint of the trunk. I'm not sure what I could of done differently to frame this one but here it is.

    Nice shot Dave.
Looks like she could use a little color sanding to get that paint flatter so the reflection is perfect though.
Maybe angle it a little more so we can see down the side of the fender to where molding meets?
Thanks for sharing, this is my kind of photography.

Nicely done... 1957 that was the time when cars of different makes really looked different. The '57 Chevy is a classic. I owned a 1957 Ford which also had its very own style. I wish that I had that car now!

I like the reflection of the lady. Cropping from left might put the emphasis more on the reflection of the lady but it depends if you have such an intention

When I see a shiny looking old vintage car with a good reflection, I usually ask the lady who owns it to pose for me with her and her reflection together. It makes for good conversation too and others clamoring to get their shot too with their car...Trust me.

Anyway...like old cars. This one is a memorable shot. Elvis Presley era...

Nice capture, the only way to determine what could be done differently is to take multiple shots. Nothing wrong with what you've chosen to display.

I like the shot, Dave. You captured the best known feature of the '57 Chevy which was an awesome car. I'm also in love with the '57 t bird. Turns my head every time I see one.
