What a beautiful bird! I LOVE the way the little flower buds surround it! Great capture! If it were mine I might sharpen the bird just a tad to bring out the detail in his lovely colored feathers. It will make the greens ones stand out a bit more from the green of the leaves as well.
Very nicely done, David...They escaped me when I was home last but I can hear them, so next time when I go over and have my longer lens I will be able to catch a shoot here and there. They are so quick...
Beautiful bird Dave and he posed so well. We have a parrot species here but although coming in the garden occasionally they feed too high up in the coconut trees to grab a decent shot.
Wonderful capture - just a stunner. You capitalized masterfully on a fine breakfast spot! A bit hard to relate to as I regard the furious April snow falling on the deck we would otherwise breakfast on.
Stunning capture.

Beautiful lorie(or is that a truck?). The edited version is an improvement IMO. One final thought is to clone out the brightest of the blue spots at extreme left of frame. Nicely done.
WOW. Stunning capture of a stunning bird!
Beautiful capture Dave, well done mate
nice picture... like the colors of the bird.
WOW! Such a beautiful bird with lovely colors and very nice composition
Thanks Dedric And Binnur.
Nice capture, very colorful.
I opened this thread and had a chuckle of amazement at this colorful little bird. His head looks like a painting.
As far as my experience with wildlife, I don't know how you could of done much better. Even with the very bright light and what appears to be a slight light wash coming off the side of his face, I think it's a beautiful and unique capture. Nice work indeed.
Thanks for your comments John and Dave, much appreciated.
