I see that Venus KX800 system is purchased by ordering directly from the Chinese manufacturer. There are various brief reports but I don't see any independent test results yet.
In theory it could be of use for any lenses that won't take standard macro lights; but I won't be the first to jump straight in and place an order.

Looks like a useful bit of kit for those wanting an adjustable twin light source and the added bonus of the useful modelling light.
As with all macro lighting one solution does not fit all but good to see this company putting out some specialist macro gear along with its 2:1 60mm lens.
