These two pictures are my first attempts with my new (3 weeks old) camera. I have returned to photography after a break of around 10 years, my previous experience being with film.

2 pictures in 3 weeks?
You need to start shooting more.
It's not like film, it won't cost you much unless you print everything.
Nice shots though.
Look forward to seeing more of your work.
I think you are doing a damned good job of it, if you don't mind me saying.
So, what are you finding most challenging in the switch from film to digital? If you have a DSLR, it shouldn't feel that different (except that now software is your darkroom).
But seconding what Alan said. One of the many advantages of digital is that you can take as many photos as you like without having to think about the cost of film and printing. Go for it!
Thank you Alan and Max for your kind comments.
Alan - I have shot around 250 pictures since I bought the camera but selected these as examples just to get some comments!
Max - I have not found anything too challenging other than understanding some of the post processing techniques involved. However I think I am getting there!
GOOD!
Try a copy and paste of the picture location into your text and the pictures will show up in your thread.
Nice return to the ring.
Welcome Paul, looking forward to seeing more of your images
I think they are both good...unless of course you were trying to get the duck's butt, in which case you need work on your composition.
Paul, I hope you don't put your new camera down anytime soon and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the world through your eyes.
Welcome home and happy shooting!
Welcome Paul. Sharp and well composed. A couple of good starters for 10. Lets see some more.
welcome to the club. Post processing can be a lot of fun.
Welcome Paul to the forum, nice first post
Thank you John, Brian and David. Hope to post more images soon.
